Welcome

Welcome to the Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre microsite. The Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre (PSRC) is responsible for postgraduate provision, research activities, and consultancy work at Leeds College of Music. The Centre also hosts a series of conferences, performance events, workshops and masterclasses to support the creative development of postgraduate students. Postgraduate students are part of a vibrant, peer-based and creative atmosphere and play an integral part in the life of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre.

The Courses

Leeds College of Music is a progressive conservatoire and has a long history in the delivery of postgraduate degrees. The PSRC has exciting provision intended for Performers, Composers and Producers across a range of genres to develop specialist interests. Students can undertake specialisms in Classical, Electroacoustic, Jazz or Popular Music. Composers may also further contextualise their work by, for example, undertaking their specialist study in Composing for the Moving Image, Music Production or Song Writing. Whatever your chosen discipline, you can tailor the courses to your specific needs. The Centre offers three Music awards (MA, MMus, Postgraduate Diploma) where you can specialise as either a performer or composer.
